PhysiCell will be used in CyGenTiG

01.07.2019

Within the CyGenTiG project we use agent-based computer models to study the development of 2 and 3 dimensional tissues. As we did not want to re-invent the wheel again we tested several simulation frameworks and decided to stick with PhysiCell. This actively developed C++ class library combines many interesting features: open-source, minimal dependencies, scalable, microenvironment coupling, and many more. We are extending this framework to include the intra-cellular morphogenetic modules and optogenetic circuits and closed-loop control. PhysiCell is developed by Paul Macklin and colleagues from Indiana University, USA. Thanks to them for their efforts!
